3rd Generation Family Run Business
Established in 1959 as PJ Quigley Ltd, Quigley Preservation Ltd is a third-generation family business with a proud history spanning more than six decades. Renamed in the 1990s, the company is now led by Darren Quigley, who continues to build upon the legacy established by his grandfather and father.
In its early years, the company specialised in timber preservation and the eradication of dry rot in period properties. As new technologies and treatment methods developed throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the business naturally expanded into remedial damp-proofing, broadening its expertise in the preservation and protection of existing buildings.
Under the stewardship of B.G. Quigley during the 1990s and 2000s, the company further diversified into structural waterproofing, an area that has since become an increasingly important part of the business. Today, our expertise encompasses below-ground waterproofing systems, alongside the waterproofing of podium slabs, car parks, balconies and other exposed structures using advanced liquid-applied systems.
In recent years, we have further developed our capabilities to include the design, as well as the installation, of waterproofing systems. This progression reflects our commitment to providing technically sound, practical and comprehensive waterproofing solutions.
While we continually embrace advances in materials, technologies and installation methods, we remain equally committed to the traditional preservation techniques upon which the company was founded. Many of these time-tested methods remain as relevant and effective today as they were decades ago.
It is this combination of traditional expertise, modern technology and generations of practical experience that defines our approach. We believe that understanding when to embrace innovation, and when to rely upon proven methods, is fundamental to delivering the right solution for every project.
